Design Council, Chief Executive
My role at the Design Council is to lead it into its next chapter. Recently reconstituted as a charity and merged with The Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment we champion good design and use it to help accelerate innovation and growth, address the big issues in society and improve the way we work and live.
I’ve been working for 30 years in the brand and design industry, leading a number of marketing, brand and design consultancies in the UK as well as a number of roles within FMCG and retail, including Head of Brand at Safeway. I joined the Design Council from a CEO role at the Holmes & Marchant Group.
I’ve also had an active commitment to the development of the design industry for the last ten years, serving as President of the Design Business Association for three years and I currently act as the spokesperson for its 20:20 Mentoring Scheme.
